Does the mother need to come?
Not for a standard postnatal test. Only the child and the possible father are needed. For a prenatal test, the mother gives the blood sample.
What if the possible father can't attend?
For a prenatal test, his hair or nail sample can sometimes be used instead of blood, though blood is more reliable. Ask us about your situation.
How early in pregnancy can it be done?
From 8 weeks. A scan confirms the dates first.

How long does the result take?
7 working days for a postnatal test, 14 working days for a prenatal test. We explain how the result reaches you when you book.
